Qianjiang Tunnel Engineering is steady progress, which is expected to open to traffic next year.

This is the first tunnel which using led lighting in the whole project, it is hoped that more and more tunnel will using led lighting.

The using life of led lighting in Qianjiang will up to 5-100,000 hours, and its mercury-free, radiation-free, calorie-free and recyclable. That is to say, with LED lights Qianjiang Tunnel will annually reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2,462 tons, and reduce sulfur dioxide emissions by 74.1 tons, reducing nitrogen dioxide emissions by 37.05 tons, which can be effective in improving the ecological environment of the tunnel. In this way, the environmental protection of tunnel is done well; the cost throttling is more obvious: every year, it can save 247 million degree electricity and 180 million electric charges.
